Projects concerning DOE submission
In Malaysia, for generator sets that are located within a plant / building, it is mandatory for owners to obtain approval prior to installation and operation of such equipments.
Section 36 of Environmental Quality (Clean Air) Regulations 1978 states that any person intending to erect, install, re-site or alter equipment, plant or facility used for the purpose of heating or generation of power that is rated to consume liquid or gaseous matter at 15 kg or more per hour, must obtain prior written approval from the Department of Environment (DOE), and any omission or negligence to comply with such requirements will be liable to face serious penalties.
Scope of DOE Submission
- To prepare acoustic canopy layout / generator set room layout
- To obtain Professional Engineer Endorsement on related drawings
- To complete Form AS/PUB/N-JANA
- To prepare an acoustic calculation
- To submit documents and liaise with DOE officer
- Site & location plan - A1 Size (provided by customer with owner's endorsement)
* Pricing will be quoted based on number of genset units
